Barça Put Pressure on Leaders With Atletico Victory
Loanee Félix Haunts Former Club
Barcelona moved to within two points of La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid with a 3-0 victory over Diego Simeone's men on Sunday at the Camp Nou. Former Atletico player João Félix scored the game's opening goal for the hosts, before Robert Lewandowski doubled their advantage. Ousmane Dembélé added a third in the second half to seal the win. Despite the defeat, Atletico remain top of the table by two points. Real Madrid can move level on points with Atletico if they beat Real Betis on Sunday.
Lewandowski Continues to Shine
Lewandowski was once again in fine form for Barcelona, scoring one goal and providing two assists. The Polish striker now has nine goals and six assists in La Liga this season. Félix, who is on loan from Atletico, also impressed, scoring his second goal in as many games for Barcelona.
Traore and Alves Impress for Barca
Adama Traore and Dani Alves both made their first starts for Barcelona since joining the club in January. Traore was a constant threat down the right flank, while Alves provided experience and composure in defense. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was named on the bench, while Antoine Griezmann missed out through injury.
